WHAT IS YOUR WHY FOR CONCEALED?

Concealed was created BY stylists FOR stylists.  In 2021, a group of experienced extension stylists sat down and created a list of what was working and not working for our clients.  We spent months creating a method that was clean, simple and solved problems our clients were facing.  For two years, this method was trialed in our home salons on all of our clients.  A new problem would pop up, and we would adjust the method to work a little bit better.  It was a true labor of love, but one that I am so proud to be a part of.

WHAT DO YOU WANT STUDENTS TO TAKE AWAY FROM THIS COURSE?

I hope the students take away the ease of the concept.  Hair extensions don’t have to be over complicated or messy.  This method has such a shorter learning curve than others, so as a salon owner, it was an easy yes.  My team felt confident within a few weeks of learning it.  Our clients prefer it.  It is a beautiful method that has so much flexibility and inclusivity—any texture, density, or length will benefit from it.

Sassy Facts

I never intended to do hair.  When the market crashed in 2007, I was fresh out of college and working as an interior designer.  Like many others, I quickly found myself laid off and needing other options—-hair school was the answer.  I could still be expressive, creative and surround myself with amazing people. I instantly fell in love. I could not believe people would pay to let me help them feel beautiful.

I love post-its, typography, and handwriting.  I want to become proficient at analyzing people’s handwriting before digital typing takes over forever.

I’ve always wanted to be a carry-on suitcase-only type of traveler—-never been remotely close.  Not one time in my life.

Sassy's FAQs

Q: How many wefts can you place on a row?
A: At our salon, we routinely place 4-7.

Q: You don’t need to use any glue?
A: You don’t!  The stitching and knots do not require it at all, and C&M’s cut point wefts/coveted wefts make it easy to cut and have no shed.

Q: Does this method allow you to go really high up/forward on the head for full coverage around the face?
A: At Goldie, we always joke that we like concealed attached to our eyebrows, hah!  So yes, it lays so flat that you can place the hair extremely close to the hairline or natural part.
